Baby Bear Hugs

A quick public service announcement:  Click HERE for limited time specials. There are some great deals! Now back to the fun stuff!

It's finally sweater weather here! Which means I'm cold all the time. But I recently got a heartwarming card from a friend, and got permission to share it here. (Many thanks to my  DSA!)

Such sweet bears!

The bears are so cute with their cheerful bows, and check out the background! That lovely texture is made with the Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. It has really deep impressions, so it's almost like holding an actual sweater. (I really like sweaters!)

I hope everyone is enjoying some happy autumn stamping!

Christmas Card Surprise

It's early for me to even think about designing my Christmas cards (not December yet), but my friend Brenda Quintana has given me inspiration. We both love the possibilities of the Sweet Home stamp set and Home Sweet Home Thinlits dies. We both also love cards that do something. What, you may be thinking, could a card with a house do?

     It's pop-up time!

As a member of Brenda's Bee Stampers Team, I got to see and test out her Home Sweet Home Pop-Up Card Tutorial. (Thanks, Brenda!)

Here's my idea:

The reindeer from the Foxy Friends stamp set and Fox Builder Punch looks so sweet in his holiday home!

This card makes me so happy!

You might know that there are a lot of little dies in the Home Sweet Home thinlits. I had to adapt the storage so I could keep up with them all, and I want to share it with you.

The first thing I do when I get a die set that has a lot of dies, before I even use it, is to take the sheet out of the envelope and photocopy it. No piecing a puzzle together after a long session of stamping: the photocopy shows me exactly where each die fits nicely AND helps me be sure that all of the dies in the set are put away. My second step: cut the photocopy to fit on the die storage sheet. Then I cut a magnet sheet to fit on the storage sheet. Next, I tape the photocopy to the magnet sheet, transfer the dies to the magnet, and once the storage sheet is free of dies, stick it onto the back of the magnet sheet for sturdiness. It's a quick and easy way to keep all those little dies safe.

Happy stamping!
