More Sweet Fun

*Just a reminder: Sale-a-bration ends March 31, 2015. Get your free products while you can!*  *Click HERE for March Class Info*

Last fall, I had fun making candy dispensers with the Stampin' Up Gift Box Punch Board. (Here's the original post: Quick, Cute, and Fun Candy Dispensers.) Since we're heading into wedding season, I want to share another pretty design that's perfect for wedding showers (and baby showers, too!).

With the help of the Gift Box Punch BoardStriped Scallop Die, and a little ink, this little box goes together easily and dresses up your party table quickly. And don't we all love those pillow mints!

What other sweet treats would be good to fill these boxes for weddings?

     Happy Stamping!

Stamp-a-stack #1

Happy Spring! Are you ready to break out the bright colors and floral stamps? I am!

Come and stamp a stack of cards with me!

I'm hosting a series of Stamp-a-Stacks this spring. Each session, we will make 12 cards: three each of four designs for two occasions. I'll do the designing and prep work. You will stamp and assemble your cards and take them (and envelopes) home in labeled, shelf-friendly cases. All you have to bring is your adhesive! (Adhesive will be available for purchase if needed.)

Stamp-a-stack #1: Birthdays and Thanks

Please register by March 25 so materials can be prepped for you.
Time: 10:00 am
Place: My home
Fee: $20 or $10 with a $30 order the day of class

Register by phone (901) 755-6923 or email.

   * Well, since we finally had some nice winter weather (I do like snow, just not cold), and several of my registrants couldn't make it to the Book of Days Journal class, I still have plenty of journals on hand. I'm afraid to schedule another session right now -- since we've had snow or ice the previous times (not my fault, really ;)), but if you are interested, let me know. I'd be happy to book a session for you.*

Now, here's a little happiness from my February class to share...Peekaboo!

Stamps are from the Filled With Love Paper Pumpkin Kit, available by subscription only.
A quiet little gatefold opens up to a surprise!

It's hard to photograph the inside of the card without opening it... Yep. The arrow-covered flaps cover the hearts in the center. As the card is opened, the hearts are revealed. (Don't you just love the arrows?)

It is kind of like a cardstock hug!
I love mechanical cards! Except, usually, precise measuring is required. Unlike my dear friend and fellow stamping fanatic, Brenda, I must confess: I am not always a precision designer. My father, bless him, could eyeball anything and tell its dimensions to 1/32 of an inch. Me, I can't even read the lines on the ruler some days. (I'll tell you sometime about my triple vision.) So when this card appeared in my imagination, I happily scouted for tools that would enable me to quickly assemble it with a minimum of measuring. I found them!

The tabs that slide over the hearts are made with the Note Tag Punch. The rounded top of the tag folds over to be the attachment point on the side of the card. I put two end-to-end and cut the small window heart from them with the smallest heart framelit. No measuring is needed, and the tags are just the right size for an A-2 card.

But wait--that's not all! The Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits set has a perfect die for the belt loop (that holds the tabs flat). No measuring, just cut and wrap it around the Note Tag, leaving it just loose enough for the tag to slide back and forth.

The only measuring I did was to score the card base for the gate fold. There are a couple of other tricks to make this go together quickly and easily--leave a note in the comments or email me for more details.

     Thanks for reading!
