Class Schedule for January is on the Classes page above.

In spring, a stamper's fancy lightly turns to thoughts of Valentine cards. Ok, so it isn't spring here yet, but the best way to survive winter's dreariness is to ignore it and hope it will go away, right?  I'm prepping for a Valentine card class (see the Classes tab above) and can't wait to share one of my wow cards.

We've made easel cards in my class before, but those were simple single layer cards.  This Triple Heart Easel Card is a great way to share some love for Valentine's Day, anniversaries, or any time!

My design uses one of my new favorite framelits: the Hearts Collection from Stampin' Up. Lots of hearts = lots of love, right? The way the hearts easel up makes the card into a decoration, as well.

Black is not one of my usual "happy" colors, but it looks a little sophisticated here. The colors in the card come from the Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Stack: Real Red and Basic Black are striking together, but the hint of Calypso Coral in the DSP adds fun to the mix.

The photos below can give you an idea of the pieces and steps, and below the photos are directions and a video!

Once again, I am honored to collaborate with Brenda Quintana to bring this project to life on video! Brenda, thanks for sharing your expertise!

Quick Reference Dimensions by Brenda Quintana

To make the folded hearts …
Big Heart (largest smooth heart framelit)
7-¼” x 4-½”
On the long side, score at 3-5/8”
Medium Heart (2nd largest smooth heart framelit)
5-¾” x 3-5/8”
On the long side score at 2-7/8
Small Heart (3rd largest smooth heart framelit)

Fold the above pieces in half and burnish with your bone folder.  Using the magnetic platform, line up the bottom tip of the framelit heart on the open end of the folded piece.  The sides of the heart should line up with the sides of the card stock.  The top of the framelit heart should hang over the folded edge.
To get the second fold in the folded hearts …
Open the folded heart.  Line up one side along the top of the Simply Scored.  Line up one heart tip along the left ruler.
Score the big heart at 2”
Score the medium heart at 1-½”
Score the small heart at 1-1/8”
