Year-end Sale!

Whee! I love a sale, don't you? Click HERE to shop the Year-end Sale! (All items are while supplies last.)

Confession time: I am a cheating cheater!

So, see my happy little words here:
Where could I have gotten the die cut letters for "ah, fall"?

Take a look at the Seasonal Frame Thinlits Dies :

There is no die for "fall," but I bet you can guess: a couple of snips, and "falala" does double duty for two seasons! And where could "ah" have come from? There is no "h" in any of the words...but I like to cheat and stretch my tools as far as they can go...look at "spooky." Take the "y" off the end, turn it upside down and over, and ah-ha!

I used the same cheat for a Halloween card. To get "boo," I snipped "spooky" and flipped the letters over and upside down.

Here are a few suggestions for words and letters that can be made with the dies:

And guess what's included in the Year-end Sale? Yep! Get your Seasonal Frame Thinlits Dies at a nice discount while supplies last.

Happy Stamping!

Happy Fourth!

I think it's safe to say Sprinkles of Life is my current favorite new stamp set. Ice cream, cupcakes, and trees--it has it all!! This card is perfect for July birthdays, isn't it? (Not what you were expecting, maybe, but I like to be tricky sometimes.) The fireworks are from a retired set, I'm afraid, as there aren't any current fireworks in the catalog. I never let go of a classic set, though, so a trip to the stamp vault supplied my need.
     And here's the inside:

Here's one more look at my In Colors bookmark, taken with better lighting:

Whatever you might celebrate this month, I wish you sprinkles of happiness and lots of ice cream!

Happy Herd

Every now and then, I find a stamp irresistible, just so cute and charming I have to have it. So I get it, introduce it to the other stamps in the neighborhood, tuck it in its own little is still cute and I'm still charmed, but after a while, we both realize we have nothing to say to one another...

Okay, I do get very involved with my stamps. It's a stampy thing. I recently experienced this awkwardness with this set:

That is one cute herd! Look at that yak! And the goat! And the other four creatures that would want to be colored in and look loved if any of the others were...and sometimes, I just don't have the time to color everyone in properly, but I want to use that stamp!  At  a recent stamp-a-stack, I wanted to feature this set but knew that with time at a premium, we would have to have a quick foolproof coloring technique.

What could be behind that door?

Everybody is happy!  Inking the stamp with markers or, in this case, multiple ink pads*, make a quick and colorful card. I can't stop smiling whenever I look at that happy herd.

*Stampin' Spots from the Paper Pumpkin kits work well here! ;)

What tips do you have for quick coloring?

     Thanks for reading!

Sneezin' and Stampin'

*Stampin' Up alert: Free Shipping on all orders, April 6-10!!*

'Tis the season to be sneezin'.

I love springtime in Memphis! The city becomes deliriously beautiful, or maybe that should be beautifully delirious. Between the dogwoods, the tulip magnolias, the pears, and the cherry trees, we have a lovely petal party every day. The very air is full of clouds of glory! Ok, they are actually clouds of pollen. Lots of pollen. Everything outside is covered in golden green dust. Our lungs are also covered in pollen. Trust me, you don't have to have an allergy to make you sneeze--a good breath of fresh air will do it. But if you do have pollen allergies, hello, allergy fog!

So, this is a good time for "get well" and "thinking of you" cards.

In honor of our happy season, the theme of our April Stamp-a-Stack is "Get Well" and "Thinking of You." (I would really like a one word descriptor for "thinking of you." Any suggestions?) See my  Classes page for date and time.

     Until next time,

Stamp your bliss, and bless you!

More Sweet Fun

*Just a reminder: Sale-a-bration ends March 31, 2015. Get your free products while you can!*  *Click HERE for March Class Info*

Last fall, I had fun making candy dispensers with the Stampin' Up Gift Box Punch Board. (Here's the original post: Quick, Cute, and Fun Candy Dispensers.) Since we're heading into wedding season, I want to share another pretty design that's perfect for wedding showers (and baby showers, too!).

With the help of the Gift Box Punch BoardStriped Scallop Die, and a little ink, this little box goes together easily and dresses up your party table quickly. And don't we all love those pillow mints!

What other sweet treats would be good to fill these boxes for weddings?

     Happy Stamping!
